Golf Team Cards Third Place

Crawshaw was represented for the second year running at the Leeds Schools Golf Championships last Tuesday.  Hosted in the picturesque surroundings of Cookridge Hall Golf Club, the team was looking to build on last year's 8th place on debut.  Joe Crampton (Y11) stepped into the fold at short notice and supplemented stalwarts Josh Smith (Y13) and Andy Farrar (Y12) extremely well.  The team carded 65 Stableford points which was good enough for 3rd place, tied with The Grammar School at Leeds, and Horsforth. A very commendable effort in just our second year in the competition.

As ever, we are always looking to expand PE and welcome interest and participation in all sports.  If there is sufficient interest and capacity to make a team viable, we will try to put on a club or enter competitions.  We have done this sucessfully in the last year with golf and swimming amongst others.  If you or your child enjoy golf (or any other sport) and wish to get involved at school, please contact Mr Cragg in the PE department.
