Admissions
At Crawshaw Academy we understand that choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a parent makes for their child. We take this responsibility very seriously. A successful education is based on strong partnerships and we will work hard to make sure the partnerships forged between you, your children and the school lead to the highest levels of success. Our aim is for students at Crawshaw Academy to be happy, confident and successful and for them to gain the necessary skills, qualities and qualifications which enable them to lead successful and happy lives, long after they have left our school.
We welcome applications for a September start in Year 7, as well as ‘in-year’ applications for Years 7 to 11 (all year round).
Crawshaw Academy is part of Red Kite Learning Trust; a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) made up of 14 schools in North and West Yorkshire. Red Kite Learning Trust is the admission authority for the schools within our Trust and as such is responsible for setting fair, clear and objective arrangements for entry into each of its school. You can view the detailed entry criteria within our school admissions policies.
Whilst Red Kite Learning Trust determines the policies, Leeds City Council (LCC) administer the application process as the local authority.

How to apply
If you have moved to a new house, please upload evidence of the move with the online application.
Parents and carers will be notified in writing by Leeds City Council of the school’s decision. This will be within 15 school days of your in-year application being received.
If your in-year application is unsuccessful, you will have the right of appeal against the school’s decision.
Admission Appeals
If you do not receive an offer for your preferred school, you may appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place. The appeals are arranged by Leeds City Council.
