The desire to ensure your child gets the very best opportunities, experiences and outcomes results in one of the biggest decisions a parent has to make. At Crawshaw Academy we take this responsibility very seriously. A successful education is based on strong partnerships and we will work hard to make sure the partnerships forged between you, your children and the school lead to the highest levels of success. I want students at Crawshaw to be happy, confident and successful and for them to gain the necessary skills, qualities and qualifications which enable them to lead successful and happy lives, long after they have left our school.

The STRIVE vision encapsulates what we believe to be the essential ingredients for success.  We strive for Excellence in all that we do, we have clearly defined goals (our Purpose) and we are Ambitious. All students will be pushed to achieve their personal best and we recognise that excellent attendance, consistent hard work and determination are the essential building blocks for this achievement. Perhaps more simply the goal is 'Better than Yesterday' for everyone.(Staff and Students) If we continue to aim to be better than we were the day before we will become the best we can be.

Crawshaw is a mixed 11-18 Academy with a comprehensive intake; the majority of whom live in the Pudsey Area. We have strong links with the Pudsey Community and work in partnership with Priesthorpe School at Post 16 level.

Crawshaw Academy became a member of Red Kite Learning Trust in March 2017 and now has access to fantastic training and resources to ensure our students benefit from the very best practice nationally.

We are an ambitious and continually improving school. Over the last five years the Academy has grown from year groups of around one hundred and fifty students to being full in all year groups with 225 plus students. 

I have had the privilege of leading Crawshaw Academy since June 2014. I am proud to lead a school that strives to provide the very best possible outcomes for every single student, that is highly regarded in the local community and as a consequence is heavily over-subscribed for places.
