Remote Learning
Remote Learning Provision at Crawshaw Academy
In the event of face to face teaching being unable to take place in school, Crawshaw Academy is committed to safeguarding students’ access and entitlement to the full curriculum via remote learning. This will include both live and pre-recorded lessons (resources with teacher audio). We may also use online platforms such as Sparx Maths and Oak academy to enable continuity of learning for our students. The Student Portal will be available to students with curriculum resources for all subjects.
Tuesday 7th January
During the current school closure, work will be set via subject teachers on MS Teams for lessons timetabled for that day.
In Year 7, work will be set around the use of Knowledge Organisers and / or a usual on-line platform that students regularly use. Knowledge Organisers are produced by each subject and contain all the important facts for that unit of work. Knowledge Organisers have already been distributed to students and can be re-sent via Teams as well. Activities will focus on either re-capping previously taught material or as a way of introducing new content to be taught this term.
In Years 8 and 9, work will be set around work that students have previously studied or as an introduction to work that they will be taught this term. Additionally, work may also be set via a usual on-line platform.
In Years 10 and 11, work will be set at the discretion of the subject leader with an expected focus on recalling important information and applying that to a set task.
