Local Governing Body
Local Governing Boards
Local Governing Boards (LGBs) operate as the “eyes and ears” of Trustees to ensure each school is led and managed effectively in accordance with the powers as set out in the Trust’s Scheme of Delegation. At Crawshaw Academy, our Local Governing Board is being run by an Interim Executive Board (IEB) who examine Quality of Education, Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes, Leadership and Management, with a focus on Curriculum, Culture, Children and the Community. The IEB is a team of experienced educational professionals with years of school leadership experience.
A Parental Forum gives parents/ carers a voice in the strategic development of the school and parents/ carers are invited to be part of this group who meet half termly with the Headteacher and other key Senior Leaders. The Parental Forum will give valuable updates to the IEB.
