We welcome admissions enquiries in school.  If you are interested in sending your child to Crawshaw and would like to find out more about the school, have a look around, or to be sent a copy of our prospectus, do not hesitate to contact the school Reception on 0113 5323810.

Although we are an Academy, our admissions arrangements are still managed centrally through the Admissions Team at Leeds City Council Children's Services.  If you would like to find out more about the admissions process, please contact them on 0113 2224414, by email at education.admissions@leeds.gov.uk or visit the Education Leeds Admissions webpage.

In-year applications (1 November 2021 to 31 August 2022)

If you would like to change schools, or if you are moving into the area for example, you can apply for a school transfer, by making an in-year application.

The Red Kite Learning Trust and its Leeds schools are part of the Leeds City Council In-Year Co-ordination Scheme.

How to apply

Parents and carers may apply at any time for an in-year school place.  Application forms are provided and processed by Leeds City Council.

You can apply for a place online using the Leeds in-year application form at Before you move schools (leeds.gov.uk).

If you have moved to a new house, please upload evidence of the move with the online application.

Parents and carers will be notified in writing by the school of its decision. This will be within 15 school days of your in-year application being received.

If the school is unable to offer a place, your child’s name will automatically be added to the school’s waiting list, which will be kept open until the end of the school year in July 2022.   Where a place becomes available, this will be offered from the waiting list, based on the oversubscription criteria within the school’s admissions policy [see link for 2021/22 policy at the top of the page].

 Appeals

If your in-year application is unsuccessful, you will have the right of appeal against the school’s decision.

Appeals are arranged by Leeds City Council and you can find the appeal form and information at: School appeals (leeds.gov.uk)

The appeal panel is independent of the school and council and the decision is legally binding.  Appeals against a decision for an in-year application can be submitted at any time during the school year.
